Privacy policy
What this site collects when you write to me, why, and what you can ask about it.
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Who is responsible
This site is published by Jean Paul Quentin, entrepreneur individuel, trading as Solva Web Design. Full details, including the postal address, are on the legal notice. For anything about your data, write to info@solvawebdesign.com.
What is collected
The only personal data this site collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, the name of your business and your current website if you give them, and your message. You do not have to provide any of it, but I need at least a name, an email address and a message to reply.
There are no cookies on this site, no analytics, no advertising, and no embedded content from other companies. The fonts and the scripts are served from this site’s own address, so opening a page sends nothing about you to anyone else.
Why, and on what basis
Your details are used to answer your message and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. Answering your message rests on my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries about my services. Carrying out the work rests on the contract between us. Nothing is used for marketing, and nothing is sold or passed on.
Who handles it
- Netlify hosts this site and receives contact form submissions on my behalf. Like any host, it keeps server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for security.
Nobody else sees your data.
Transfers outside the EU
Netlify is based in the United States. For data that leaves the European Economic Area, I rely on the safeguards Netlify offers under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch, normally no longer than two years. Ask, and they are deleted sooner.
Your rights
You can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it is used, and receive what you gave me in a portable format. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
To use any of these rights, email info@solvawebdesign.com. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL, at cnil.fr.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date at the top.
